Founded by Billie Jean King in 1974, we are one of the first organizations to recognize the powerful connection between sports access, equity, and society.

WSF has been changing the game for 50 years through its research, advocacy, and community programming, investing over $100 million to help girls and women play, compete, and lead - in sports and beyond - without barriers. Please note that we have reached capacity at this time. In exchange for a guaranteed entry to the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, runners pledge to raise a minimum of $5,000 in donations to support our work. Runners who do not reach this goal by Nov 3, 2024 will be required to donate the difference. Runners will be required to cover their own entry fee. WSF will provide tools and resources to help reach fundraising and training goals.
